清 Qing

清 Qīng is a theatre of memory, reimagining the stories implicated in the Sook Ching massacre during the Japanese Occupation of Singapore. Devised using a range of primary historical documents, the second performance of 清 Qīng moves away from black and white stories told through national narrative to recognize the intersection of individual experiences. It tells stories instead of statistics. On behalf of Artslab, we invite you to be part of our ritual of memory, to engage with these stories, and to leave it with a realignment of the present.

There will be three shows in total:

15 April, 8-9.30PM
16 April, 8-9.30PM (door sales only)
17 April, 3-4.30PM

Tickets are $5/- each. Yale-NUS students/ faculty/ staff can buy and collect tickets at the Elm Dining Hall between 11.30am-1pm from 30 March to 13 April.
